Glyphdrift is a free, independent project by Sectr99. This notice explains what data the app and this website handle. The short version: the app collects nothing, and the website keeps nothing about you.
The Glyphdrift app
- The app makes no network connections. It has no telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, accounts or update checks.
- Your settings and a small diagnostic log are stored only on your computer, in
%APPDATA%\Glyphdrift. They never leave your PC. Deleting that folder removes them. - If you turn on Start with Windows, the app adds one entry to your user's startup list in the Windows registry. Turning the option off removes it.
This website
- The site uses no cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts or fonts.
- If you pick a theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the page remembers it. It is never sent anywhere; clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data about each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Cloudflare may give the site owner aggregated, anonymous traffic statistics; no individual visitor is identified. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
- Downloads and the source code are hosted on GitHub, where the GitHub privacy statement applies.
Legal basis
Where data protection law such as the EU or UK GDPR applies, the limited request data processed by the hosting provider is handled on the basis of a legitimate interest in delivering a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your theme choice is stored only because you asked for it and stays on your device.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because neither the app nor this site stores personal data about you, there is normally nothing to access or delete, but you are welcome to ask.
Children
Glyphdrift is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
